Cabletron Systems to Provide Backbone to ARM

 Hyderabad-based ARM Limited which will commence offering Internet services in the brand name of Veda Online has chosen Cabletron's service provider solution. Cabletron will implement solution based on SmartSwitch routers, Remote Access Servers (RAS) and Network Management Services. This solution package will enable the service provider to efficiently provide dial-up, dedicated access and web-based designing and development services in four major cities in Andhra Pradesh--Hyderabad, Vishakapatnam, Vijayawada and Guntur initially. In addition, the vendor has chosen the service provider to deliver network integration services for the service provider market in the country. ARM's Internet services, Veda Online, will include range of services such as dial-up access, dedicated Internet access services we-based designing and development, e-commerce portal (andhrabiz.com), e-commerce solutions, Intranet, Virtual Private Network among others. The company has been executing turnkey projects for basic and cellular service providers in the country. It is involved in the manufacturing of adios, antennas, towers, solar power systems, optical transmission equipment, backbone network solutions. It has been supplying major contracts to the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
