The Dot Com initiator, Network Solutions Incorporation (NSI) has signed in with a number of Indian companies for its international premier domain registration services. The companies include Cyberweb Global, Dotcom Services, India Web Promoters, Satyam Infoway Limited and Web Works. With this, a total of 240 companies, 60 of, which are located in Asia and the Middle East, have joined Network Solutions' international program. To join the NSI premier partner program, a company will have to registering minimum of 50 domain names per month. Founded in 1972, the company is the world's leading Registrar with more than 8.1 million net registrations--.com, .net, .org and .edu extensions. It has just established its presence in Asia Pacific with its regional headquarters in Hong Kong, to reinforce its support to its 60 plus regional distributors and partners. These include most of the leading regional telecom operators, ISPs and web hosting companies. It has various tie-ups with majors like Yahoo! Microsoft and American Express for providing value-added services. It recently launched a web-based directory which offers users a targeted, vertical entry point to conduct e-commerce with business that have a web address. The directory is based on the NSI's database of over 8.1 million web address registrations ending in .com, .net, .org and is supplemented by business information from the company’s business partners.
